.overview
dynTypo is a collection of work and research by various designers, programmers and artists interested in the possibilities of dynamic and interactive typography in the multimedia arts scene. Much of this work manifests itself as digital artwork, or online interactive experiences. Hence the creation of this research web site. At this stage, the possibilities of dynamic and/or interactive typography are still being explored by academic, creative and commercial sectors, but there seems to be a mutual understanding that this new form of creativity plays an important role in exploring new areas of work and art.

The idea behind the project is to explore dynamic and interactive typography through whatever channels feel right at the time. These can be programming experiments, audio-typography work, installations and websites. Sometimes it's necessary to integrate all these elements together, other times things are kept separate to manifest on their own.

This project was part of my research work for the completion of a master's degree in multimedia arts, granted by the Fine Arts School of the University of Oporto [FBAUP]. The project tries to take cutting edge technologies and distort them in any manner that takes them away from the ordinary.

I'm looking for other people to contribute with work to the project or even to collaborate, so if you fit the bill then let me know. It's important to note that it doesn't really matter what the technology is - so if you're a programmer, type designer, artist, communications designer or anything like that then get in touch.

.how to join the project?
At this stage I'm asking all visitors to contribute with some project links, as well as all the information you might have regarding the dynamic typography theme. Definitions, bibliographies, papers, etc.
Comments and remarks are very much appreciated. Feel free to send some feedback!
